Cave Paintings

The first of my cave art paintings was "Fred's Paintings" where I explored painting on a rough surface and presented multiple layers of images, much in the way a cave might have many pictures added to its surfaces over the years.  Later, seeing Werner Herzog's film "Cave of Forgotten Dreams" documenting the Chauvet cave paintings, I was inspired to do more, again on rough surfaces, forcing my work to be more direct and unconcerned about tiny details.
